Notes:

Wikipedia, the free online encyclopaedia indicates that, “Many volcanoes in the Caribbean are named Soufrière (French: ‘sulphur outlet’). These include Soufrière Hills on Montserrat and La Grande Soufrière on Guadeloupe”.

Dr. Richard Robertson, a Vincentian Volcanologist and head of the Seismic Research Unit at the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine, Trinidad & Tobago, did extensive research work on St. Vincent’s La Soufrière.
